Owner and Founder

Grow Dig Build is an Indigenous-owned landscaping company proudly servicing the Albury–Wodonga region. Since 2015, we’ve built our reputation on experience, reliability, and a genuine connection to the land. We don’t just build landscapes - we construct and create natural living spaces that invite people to reconnect with the natural world.

Our Journey

Grow Dig Build was founded by Scott Dowdle, a proud Bidjigal man.

Commencing a career in bowling green management on the NSW Far South Coast, Scott spent 20 years in golf course construction, design, and maintenance in Queensland, which included working alongside Jack Nicklaus and Carrie Webb design teams. Over this time, he built his reputation and skills, achieving the number one golf course in Australia at Turtle Point at Laguna Quays in 2006. He also designed and constructed the 18-hole golf course on Dunk Island in Far North QLD.

Returning to the NSW Far South Coast in 2009, Scott combined his skills in golf course construction with his passion for the natural environment to build a landscaping business focused on quality outcomes and a willingness to take on challenging and complex project designs.

Since 2021, Grow Dig Build has been based in North-East Victoria servicing the Albury-Wodonga region. Today, Scott and his team are committed to making sure that every construction project is completed to not only meet client needs and fit aesthetically with its surrounds, but to also minimize environmental impact and increase the connection of the living world around us.

With over 30 years’ experience in construction and project management of a range of hard and soft landscapes, Grow Dig Build has the experience and professionalism that you can trust in ensuring quality outcomes.

Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems

We guarantee our commitment to safety, quality, environmental best practices and compliance for every project we take on. We also focus on ongoing review of these systems so that we are continually improving our internal standards.

We work within a fully developed Work Health and Safety system and have frameworks set up for quality control, environmental management and COVID safety.

We are a registered landscaping company (ABN 22 603 892 146) and hold the following insurances and licences:

Workers Compensation insurance
Home Building Compensation Insurance (NSW) and Domestic Building Insurance (VIC)
Structural Landscaping Licences: Registered building practitioner with NSW Department of Fair Trading (Scott Dowdle - 316997C and Grow Dig Build - 318408C) and Vic Building Authority ( Scott Dowdle - DB-L 71127DB and Grow Dig Build -CDB-L 71823)

All our workers hold White Cards and relevant personnel have certifications in First Aid, Chainsaw Operation, Plant and Equipment Operation and Chemical Application.
